Yield: 8 servings
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 28 oz Tnuva Maadanot Pastry Dough
- 3 tablespoons Tnuva Butter
- 3 large onions, cut into thin rounds
- 7 oz Tnuva Goat Cheese
- 8 sprigs thyme
- Milk, to coat
- Sea salt
- Coarse black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet with butter over low heat. Add the onion slices and fry them for about 20 minutes, until they are golden and caramelized.
- Pre-heat the oven for 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover a baking pan with baking paper
- On a clean kitchen surface, roll out the pastry dough. Cut 8 circles of about 3 inches in width
- Using a fork, score the dough about 1/2 inch from the edges in order to prevent the ends of rising in the oven. Brush the circles with a little bit of milk and back in the oven for about 10 minutes until golden
- Into each circle, place caramelized onion pieces, goat cheese and thyme leaves.
- Fill each of the circles. Bake for another 20 minutes until golden. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
