Ingredients:
Dough:
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon dry yeast
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons Tnuva Butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cup milk
Filling:
- 1 container Tnuva Premium Cheese Spread, Original Flavor
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 bag frozen cherries or blueberries
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the dough: Place flour in a large bowl. Combine with the dry yeast. Create a well in the middle. Whisk the eggs and pour into the middle.
- Meanwhile, put the butter, 1/2 cup sugar and milk into a saucepan. Heat until very warm, but not hot. Pour on top of the beaten egg.
- Slowly knead the mixture until a dough forms. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and allow to rise in a warm place for about an hour.
- Beat the Tnuva Premium cheese spread with the sugar and set aside.
- When the dough has risen, transfer dough onto a floured surface. Divide into 24 pieces.
- Take a piece of dough and bring all the sides together to the top, then press down in the center to create an indentation in the middle for the filling. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with all the dough pieces.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Now fill each indentation with the cheese filling until you have used it all. Top with frozen fruit.
- Bake for around 25 minutes, or until buns are golden.
- Remove from oven and dust with powdered sugar that you put through a sieve.
