Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 medium-sized potatoes
30 grams of Tnuva Butter
Ground black pepper, to taste
Salt, to taste
Olive oil
For topping:
1 container of Tnuva Quark Creamy Soft Cheese Spread
Fresh dill
1 egg, hard-boiled
Instructions:
1. Bring potatoes to a boil in a pot of salt water. Let cook for about 10 minutes, or until they are slightly softened. Drain potatoes and let cook.
2. Heat a small pan with olive oil. Once the oil is hot, fry the onion until crispy.
3. Using a grater or food processer, grate the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
4. In a separate skillet, heat half the quantity of butter. Add the grated potatoes and fry for about two minutes.
5. Arrange the potatoes into a flat, circular shape and fry for 10-15 minutes until golden. Flip the rösti onto a plate. Heat the remaining butter on the skillet. Carefully slide the rösti back onto the hot skillet and fry for about 10 minutes.
6. Transfer the rösti onto a plate and top with fried onion, fresh dill, chopped hard-boiled egg and a few tablespoons of Tnuva Quark Creamy Cheese Spread.
