Melt-in-Your-Mouth Cream Cheese Cookies

Yield: 25 cookies

Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter
1 container Tnuva Premium Cheese Spread, Original Flavor
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
Dash salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 ¾ cup flour

Instructions:
1. Put the butter, cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla sugar and lemon zest, if using, into a food processor. Blend until smooth. Add the salt, baking powder and flour and process just until incorporated. Wrap with plastic and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
2. Preheat the oven to 375⁰F and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
3. Prepare a plate with flour next to your work surface (dough is very sticky). Flour hands and remove a walnut-sized piece of cookie dough. With quick, gentle movements, roll into a ball and place onto the baking pan. Continue with the rest of the dough, placing balls 1 ½ inches apart.
4. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges darken slightly. Remove from oven and cool.
5. Sprinkle with confectionary sugar and serve.
