Servings: 8
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
½ a cup of brown sugar
⅓ of a cup of regular sugar
100 grams of Tnuva’s Butter, softened
½ a tsp of salt
1 egg
1 ½ tsp of vanilla extract
1 cup of flour
¼ of a cup of baking soda
1 cup (about 150 grams) of chocolate chips
Bittersweet chocolate, thinly chopped
1 cup (or 100 grams) of oatmeal flakes
Serving extras:
1 container of 38% cream
1 tsp of sugar
75 grams of bittersweet chocolate
Ice cream flavor of your choice
1 snack bag of popcorn
Instructions:
1.Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and butter the pan.
2.In a large bowl combine the brown sugar, the white sugar, the butter and the salt and hand mix it until it’s free of lumps. Add the egg and the vanilla extract and stir it well.
3.In a separate bowl, add the flour, the baking soda, the chopped bittersweet chocolate and the oatmeal flakes and stir very well. Add the ingredients slowly and stir well.
4.Transfer the mixture to the tray, and mash it down until it’s one uniform cake. Add the extra bit of chocolate. Bake until it’s golden brown, for 20-25 minutes. Let it cool.
5.For the whipped cream: In a clean bowl beat the container of sweet cream until it’s properly whipped. Add the 1 tsp of sugar and beat it it for a few more seconds.
6.For the chocolate sauce: Prep the chocolate in bowl. In a small pot warm up the remaining half of the sweet cream until it boils. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and wait two minutes for it to thicken into a lovely sauce.
7.To serve: cut the cake into triangles and serve with either a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce or sweet popcorn.
