Broccoli-Cheese Strudel

Broccoli-Cheese Strudel

Yield: 2 strudels

Prep time: 20 minutes

Level: Easy

Ingredients:

Brownies:
12 ounces frozen broccoli
1 package Maadanot frozen rolled short dough for savory pastries
1 egg, beaten
8 tablespoons sun-dried tomato spread (optional)
1 container Tnuva Premium Cheese Spread with Garlic & Dill
For topping: 3 slices Tnuva Edam Cheese, cut into strips
Chili powder (optional)

Instructions:

1. Remove broccoli from freezer and let thaw at room temperature for one hour. Meanwhile, line a large baking pan with parchment paper and preheat oven to 350 ⁰F.
2. Divide the dough in half; you will have two small rectangles. Spread the tomato spread (if using) on each rectangle. Spread the Tnuva Premium Cheese Spread on top.
3. Place the broccoli on each rectangle just halfway, then fold over the dough (without the broccoli) on top so that you have a long, narrow rectangle. Brush each strudel with beaten egg and sprinkle with chili powder. Arrange Tnuva Edam Cheese strips on top.
4. Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden. Let cool for about an hour; then slice and serve.
