Feta & Grape Galette

Servings: 12-Oct

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

½ package Frozen Rolled Short Dough for Savory Pastries

For filling:
1 large onion, chopped
2 tablespoons Tnuva Butter
¾ cup Tnuva Kashkaval Cheese, grated
1 cup Tnuva Feta Sheep’s Milk Cheese, crumbled
15-20 seedless red grapes
¼ cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
1 sprig of rosemary

Prepare in a 9” round baking dish
1. Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the onion. Fry for five minutes, until golden.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover a baking pan with baking paper.
3.Gently roll out the dough and cut into a perfect 11” circle.
4. Transfer the dough into the circular baking dish. Leaving 2-3 inches on the edge, top with the fried onions.
5. Spread the cheese, grapes, rosemary and nuts onto the dough, still leaving 2-3 inches on the edge plain.
6. Freely fold the 2-3 edges of the clean dough atop the filling. Do not cover all the filling.
7. Bake for 30 minutes, until the dough is lightly golden and the cheese is bubbling. Serve immediately.

ALTERNATIVE: Use 2 peeled and thinly sliced pears instead of grapes. Instead of onion, use 2 thinly sliced and fried leeks.
