Fettucini Carbanara with smoked salmon

Too tired to prepare a complicated meal? This simple pasta dish is delectable and includes a dash of protein too!

Servings: 4

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

1 package of Fettuccine or Spaghetti noodles
4 egg yolks
½ cup of (or 50 grams)of Tnuva’s parmesan cheese, grated
Salt and pepper, (to taste)
1 tbsp of Tnuva’s butter
100 grams of smoked salmon, diced

To serve:

Chopped parsley


1.In a large pot, boil water (with added salt) for the pasta
2.Grab a bowl scramble the egg yolks, parmesan, salt and pepper
3.In a pan, melt the butter and fry the smoked salmon until it’s golden. Transfer it to the bowl with the yolks and the parmesan and stir.
4.Cook the pasta according to the instructions. Drain it, but keep a cup of the water it was cooked in. Transfer the pasta to the bowl with the yolk mixture and add the cup of pasta water (the heat from this boiled water will cook the yolks). Add as much of the water as you need.
5.Mix and transfer to plates. Add the parmesan and parsley to garnish.
