Prep time: 20 mins
Serves: 6-8 (10’’ tin)
Ingredients:
1 package of Tnuva Ma’adanot Frozen Rolled Puff Pastry Dough For Sweet And Savory Pastries, thawed according to the instructions on the packaging
3/4 package (tube) Tnuva Goat Cheese
2 cups cauliflower – sliced into large chunks
8-7 kale Leaves
¼ package Tnuva Unsalted Butter
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon light brown sugar
Sprinkle of salt
For the batter:
1 container (1 pint) of heavy cream
4 medium eggs
1 teaspoon mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 ⁰F.
2. Layer the bottom of the tin and its sides with the puff pastry dough and place in the refrigerator. Let cool.
3. Heat the butter in a large skillet and sear the sliced cauliflower each side, until golden brown. Add the vinegar and sugar and cook for another minute. Sprinkle some salt and pepper and cool.
4. Assemble the tart for baking: Mix all the batter together well and pour on the dough in the tin.
5. Add the cauliflower and place the fresh kale leaves on so that they protrude slightly from the batter. Finally, cut the goat cheese by hand into coarse pieces and add to the tart – let it protrude too.
7. Cover the tart with baking paper and bake for 50-60 minutes, until the filling is golden brown.
