Macaroni and Cheese Pie

A simple and easy macaroni pie that you’ll be happy to eat in the evening and take to work with you the next day – IF there’s any left.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

400 gr of Macaroni noodles
50-100 gr of Tnuva Butter
3 tbsp. of flour
3 ½ cups of milk
1 ½ cup of Tnuva’s cheese, shredded. *Mix it up and use half Muenster and half Mozzarella
Salt to taste
White pepper to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional)


Cook the macaroni Al’dente. Remove from pot and drain. Return to pot and add half the butter and stir.
In a separate, smaller pot, warm up the rest of the butter, keep it a low temperature, and once it’s melted, add the flour. Stir until the flour is fully incorporated with the butter.
Add the milk, stirring as you pour, until smooth. Add the salt and pepper and continue stirring for another five minutes
In an oiled pyrex pan spread a layer of the macaroni and then a layer of shredded cheese. Then put another layer on top of that with some more cheese. On top of that add a third layer of macaroni and then pour the sauce from the small pot over it. (Sprinkle on the pepper flakes if desired.) use the remaining cheese for the top layer.
Add another tiny touch of salt and pepper, then insert into the oven and bake for 25- 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
