Yield: 10 buns
Prep Time: Up to 20 minutes
Level: Easy
Ingredients:
Dough:
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 container Tnuva Quark Creamy Soft Cheese 5%
¼ teaspoon salt
Filling:
2 slices Tnuva Edam Cheese, cut into small pieces
2 ounces Tnuva Feta Sheep’s Milk Cheese, crumbled
Instructions
1. Put all the dough ingredients in a large bowl. Knead with a dough hook until a dough forms.
2. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and continue kneading by hand.
3. Divide into 10 pieces. Flatten each piece and then fill with a small amount of cheese filling. Pinch the sides back together so that you have a ball shape.
4. Repeat with the rest of the dough.
5. Lightly grease a frying pan. Flatten each ball and place on the frying pan. Fry on both sides until golden, occasionally pressing down on the buns with a spatula.
6. Serve hot and enjoy!
