Savory “Sufganiyot” with Cheese

Prep time: 40 minutes


For dough:
Canola oil for frying
2.5 cups of self-rising flour
1 container of cooking cream, 15% fat
2 medium eggs
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
For filling:
½ cup of Tnuva’s Muenster Cheese, grated
1 cup of Tnuva Cow’s Feta, crumbled
Pinch of black pepper and sweet paprika


1. Stir all the dough ingredients together in a bowl until you get a uniform texture. Add extra milk if necessary.
2. Form the dough into equal size balls and roll out each one on a flat surface.
3. Mix the two cheese together in a separate bowl, add pepper and paprika.
4. Place a teaspoon of the cheese filling onto each circle of dough, and close it up, forming a ball.
5. Heat the frying oil in a pot on medium heat. Place the balls into the pot and fry until golden on all sides.
6. Serve hot.
