Zees Cream Filled Cupcakes

¼ cup butter, at room temperature
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup + 4 tablespoons Tnuva Zees spread, any flavor
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
Chocolate lentil candies


1. Preheat oven to 350 ⁰F.
2. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla extract. Add the Zees spread and the egg and continue beating until smooth.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Add to the batter and mix well. Add the milk and mix just until incorporated.
4. Line a cupcake pan with pretty cupcake holders. Drop a tablespoon of batter into each cupcake holder and spread it on the bottom. Add about ¾ teaspoon Zees spread in the center, on top of the batter, and then cover with enough batter so that the cupcake holder is about half full.
5. Sprinkle lentil candies on top of each cupcake. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until cupcakes have risen and are set in the middle.
