Yield: 20 servings
Prep time: 25 minutes
Cook time: 30-35 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Tnuva Frozen Puff Pastry Dough
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 bundle of Swiss chard, checked, leaves and stems separated and coarsely chopped
- 1 ¾ cups of Tnuva Bulgarian Feta Light Cheese, grated
- Sea salt, according to taste
- Ground pepper, according to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Heat up some olive oil in a large sauté pan. Once hot, fry the onions until golden brown. Add the chard leaves for a few minutes, until they are tender and browned. Remove from the heat.
- Add the Bulgarian Feta Light Cheese into the pan and stir. Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line an oven tray with baking paper.
- On a clean work surface, evenly roll out the puff pastry dough. Cut pieces into squares about 4 inches by 4 inches in size.
- In the center of each puff pastry square, place a spoonful of the chard-cheese filling. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
- Pinch together to opposing corners of the puff pastry square – forming a diamond-like shape to close.
- Fold the corners of each puff pastry square. Brush the corners lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the pastries are golden browned. Serve hot.
