Tnuva Puts A Premium On Kosher For Consumers
As Tnuva heralds a new era in food production and technological innovation, the company remains steadfast in its commitment toward increasing the number of premium strictly kosher products available in Israel and North America.
Tnuva prioritizes kosher by seeking authorization from the Vaad Mehadrin, a hashgacha that represents a unique and diverse group of rabbonim respected by the entire Charedi community. The kosher committee was founded by several renowned poskim from various Orthodox communities, ensuring that the kosher is of the highest mutually accepted standard for all consumers. Rav Zev Weitman, Tnuva’s widely respected kosher Supervisor (Rav HaMachshir) for over 20 years, has been the architect of the company’s kosher revolution. Rav Weitman works closely with leading rabbis from all the Yeshivish, Chassidic and Sephardic communities.
The Vaad Mehadrin works closely on all kosher issues, including overseeing raw materials, production lines and final product packaging. Tnuva discusses with the Vaad Mehadrin extensively about every detail of each product. Committed to preserving a trusted standard of kosher, the Vaad Mehadrin routinely consults with numerous poskim regarding issues that arise in the ever-changing world of food production and its related technologies.
Because the Vaad Mehadrin collaborates with many rabbonim and Tnuva values keeping its products under a strict hashgacha, consumers can rest assured that Tnuva delivers first-class dairy and cheese products with reliable kosher.

PASSOVER
In the months leading up to the Passover production season, Rav Weitman and the “Vaad Mehadrin” review the kashering necessary for Passover production and analyze newly available ingredients. Innovative food processes have actually spurred the “Vaad Mehadrin” to increase the number of “Kosher for Passover” products that are available to consumers. An extensive amount of time, research and efforts are invested in ensuring that Tnuva products comply with the strict rules for Passover.
Individual products will be marked accordingly in the weeks prior to Passover. All products marked “Kosher for Passover” do not contain Kitniyot.
